Prime Video has set cast for their new series based on Elsie Silver's ROSE HILL novels. It follows best friends and neighbors West Belmont (Jake Weary), a rancher with commitment issues, and brooding record label
owner Ford Grant (Sean O’Pry), aka Forbes’ “World’s Hottest Billionaire,” who’s long carried a torch for West’s sister, Rosie (Hannah Galway). And when country-pop star Skylar Stone (Sadie Dickerson) breezes into their rugged mountain town, the heat gets turned way up in this romantic family drama.

Oooh, a new Julian project? I don't even care if it's bad. We'll be watching this at any rate.
ReplyDeleteIt is beyond me why he is not getting roles, the last I have seen him in was that Christmas series last year. He needs a better agent for sure.
DeleteOh, this casting drop is absolute gold, and since you always keep your finger on the pulse of smart indie cinema and cultural adaptations, I love how diverse this lineup is! American Fever Dream feels like it is going to hit heavy with that gritty, socio-economic critique of the middle class unraveling over two decades, which makes pairing Julian Morris and Alexandra Daddario a fascinating dramatic choice. Meanwhile, Limbo USA brings a really compelling cross-cultural and generational depth with Sercan Badur and David Beck exploring the tension between old-world expectations and finding oneself in New York, while the Rose Hill series adaptation proves that Prime Video is fully leaning into the massive appetite for sweeping, small-town romance tropes featuring brooding billionaires and rugged mountain backdrops. It is safe to say these projects are giving us everything from profound sociological heartbreak to pure, escapist romantic dopamine, and I am entirely here for how this slate is shaping up.
ReplyDeleteSomething for everyone is my motto. Prime Video is definitely turning into a tweensy haven, especially having in mind their current and future lineup, you are not wrong there at all, they are catering to the Zed gen.
DeleteI'll go for the rancher romance. Too bad is Prime Video
ReplyDeleteHot ranchers seem to be your new fetish, not that we do not approve LOL
DeleteAstute observation, Gattocito, but who would disagree?
DeleteNobody! I see that Ransom Canyon has dropped by 45% with the secunda pelicula like everything else these days on Shitflix.
DeleteDuhamel is hot, I confess, but his love life is so dull. The series is supposed to be based on a set of romance westerns, but Netflix has no idea what romantic means. And the kiddie romance just lost a partner in the love triangle so now is two brothers fighting over a gilr, just like in The Walter Boys. No imagination and why do we need triangles?
DeleteThey put triangles everywhere, just not in my life between me, Cavill and Laurie Davidson.
DeleteHere in Russia, they sometimes show really old American films. New films haven't been available for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI know that sometimes you do get some European and Asian films and some American ones if they are indie productions.
