THE FORSYTES
SEASON TWO TEASER IS HERE!
Although the first season just ended over on PBS Masterpiece, it actually aired on Channel 5 in UK last September and season two of THE FORSYTES costume drama is coming over there quite soon so a lavish teaser
announcing it has been released! I also don't have to remind you that the third season has already been ordered as well. Joshua Orpin, Francesca Annis,
Jack Davenport, Danny Griffin, Stephen Moyer, Millie Gibson, Tuppence Middleton, Eleanor Tomlinson will all return with Richard
Rankin joining the cast in the second run. In this next chapter which was shot last year in Britain, the proud dynasty faces a new era of scandal,
ambition, and shifting loyalties. As love, legacy and reputation collide, the cracks in the family’s polished façade grow ever deeper. With both of the
Forsyte younger cousins having problems in their marriages due to their spoilt, immature and treacherous wives, the second season will pick up about six months after the season one finale.

It's easy to forget how much attention to detail there must be for the sets of these shows. We just take it in stride as part of the windowdressing, but it's truly a talent.
ReplyDeleteThis one really goes for the visuals and for the costumes and the soft lights and opulent shading and colours.
DeleteI usually have a soft spot for period drama series; they have something special in the way they portray relationships and conflicts. I have to admit that the first season of The Forsytes completely passed me by, and from what you describe, that was probably a mistake on my part.
ReplyDeleteWell, I’ll have to fix that. I’ve already added it to my watchlist on the platform where I found it, so I’ll start it as soon as I can. Thanks for bringing it here.
Hollywood Spy is worlds central for all things period set and historical :)
DeleteI am slowly finishing The Forsytes myself, I think I only have left the final episode. It is very short, just six episodes, some characters are annoying, but it is generally very beautiful visually. It already has the third season ordered even before the second one has even aired.
