HOMEBODIES TRAILER
FOR NEW TV SERIES FROM SBS
Coming straight from Down Under is a trailer for new Australian family drama HOMEBODIES which will hit their SBS March 28th as a bold,
surprising and heartfelt series that explores the courage it takes to accept the ghosts of our past. The series stars Claudia Karvan, Luke Wiltshire and Jazi Hall, and follows Darcy, a trans man who reluctantly returns to his regional hometown to care for his estranged mother Nora. But home isn’t as he left it. Nora has been living with a secret housemate: Dee, the teenage ghost of Darcy’s pre-transition self. As old wounds resurface, Darcy must confront the parts of himself he tried to leave behind or risk losing himself entirely. The series blends humour, heart and a playful ghost story to explore identity, family and the messy work of
reconciliation. At its core, it's a deeply human story about a mother and son learning how to see each other again.

I do like Aussie projects, but this one is a bit odd. I do hope they had some guidance from the trans community while writing and filming.
