BERLIN NOIR SERIES
COLIN FIRTH JOINS JACK LOWDEN
I already told you that Apple TV is turning Philip Kerr's novel series BERLIN NOIR into a period set TV drama with Jack Lowden in the lead and now he has been joined by Colin Firth. Set in 1928 it will follow
Bernie (Lowden) a police officer, newly promoted to the intimidating and elite Berlin Murder Squad, who must investigate what seems to be a serial killer targeting victims on the fringes of society. Bernie’s Berlin is a city of unprecedented freedom and dizzying turbulence, the Nazis just a distant nightmare waiting in the wings. With the political and social world shifting to a new norm, we see Bernie fighting for truth, whatever the cost. Firth will be Paul Lohser, a brilliant but prickly Murder Detective with the Berlin Police. Meticulous, anti-social and well-educated, he’s everything Bernie isn’t. And as his partner and unlikely mentor, Lohser is Bernie’s best and only hope of catching the killer.

Don't like German crime series, but might be different this one since Colin Firth also joins the show.
ReplyDeleteAnd it is not German but American series LOL
DeletePra quem é fã de série policial essa parece ser ótima, Dezmond feliz semana abraços.
ReplyDeleteFeliz semana to you as well
DeleteThis could be good. It’s not something I’ll actively seek out, but if my library gets it in stock on dvd ever, I’d be inclined to check it out.
ReplyDeleteAt least the cast is nice so far.
DeleteI like serial killer mysteries so this sounds pretty good to me.
ReplyDeleteHope you will enjoy it.
DeleteUy amo a ese actor. Deseo ver la serie. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteGracias
DeleteOh I'm so glad they are still working n it. I feared that it was shelved like most period projects nowadats. I love the novels and been waiting for years to see them on a screen.
ReplyDeleteNo, it is Apple not Shitflix, they usually finish their shows, but rarely renew them.
DeleteThat saddens me too. I rather not dream about a possible project than wait eternally for a sequel that won't come. Although they brought Teheran, but then it is not an Apple show, but we never got a second season of The New Look and yet we got worse shit like tHe Bucanneers and Palm Royale. I just hope the Bernie Gunther novels gets such good treatment it becomes eternal like Slow Horses
DeleteGiven that Jackie is in Horses and that had like 34 seasons so far, the audience might like Berlin too and it will be renewed.
DeleteWhy on Earth would we need a secunda temporade de New Look??? Wasn't the first one abominable enough?
