  1. So, Emma Thompson is not only playing in the movie but also writing it (why is that info under the couple's picture?!).

Well, she sure knows plenty about romance as she has starred in many love stories. There's nothing like experience!

    1. Because I always ad an intriguing piece of info under photos for the non-lazy ones who actually read the small letters :) it is a sort of an award for them. Notice, also, the interesting info under the Heart of Darkness photo.

  2. I've asked the question for two reasons: 1. I'm just an average reader (quite a lazy one); so I expect a caption to provide me with an explanation to the picture. 2. Emma Thompson as a screenplay writer is an important detail (it shows her as a multi-talented person) and its place, I think, is within the main content of the post.

But it's your blog, so go ahead and write the way you want and are used to. You may ignore my question! No offence. Hope I haven't crossed any red line.

    1. Yes, but in this particular it was rather obvious who is in the photo as the title and the post mention it twice or thrice, so I did not have the need to explain the photo in the caption and thus used the caption for the info treat.
People do like it when I put a special treat within the captions, so that is why I do it (I get most praise from readers for that and for famous Dezzy's History Lessons), and plus it helps me to avoid making the main text too long and helps me achieve the visual symmetry between the two parts of the text when I have just one photo to illustrate the story.

    1. I just don't know why they always have to make the female character quirky, while her love interest isn't?

    2. You're right, they do that a lot. I guess it makes the oddball girls feel like finding a love match isn't so hard after all.

    3. it's the same as in most YA novels, the female lead is some plain or ugly girl who wants a gorgeous guy, never an ugly or plain guy :)

  4. Animated Heart of Darkness......that's a little strange?
