'ALIENIST' STARS LUKE EVANS AND DANIEL BRUHL TO STAR IN THEIR SHOW'S CREATORS 'MY BEST FRIEND' COMEDY MOVIE!

   'MY BEST FRIEND'
MOVIE TO UNITE LUKE EVANS AND DANIEL BRUHL AGAIN
Which one will be Luke, the sweet or the arrogant one?
Imagine that! The whole team of TNT's Emmy nominated period set series THE ALIENIST (which is getting a sequel) will join together again but this time on a movie! As 'Deadline' reports, Luke Evans and Daniel Bruhl will star in the mini series' show runner and producer, Max Frye's and Rosalie Swedlin's new film! They will all gather again in MY BEST FRIEND, a dramedy movie English language adaptation of the 2006 French film Mon Meilleur Ami! The story in the original French movie revolved around two very different men – one arrogant and cold, the other sweet and talkative – whose lives are thrown together when one accepts a bet to find a best friend and the other agrees to teach him the secret to making friends.
LUKE'S OTHER GIGS
Beside also starring in the Alienist sequel Angel of Darkness, you will also see Luke Evans in Luc Besson's movie ANNA next to Helen Mirren and Cillian Murphy and Russian star Alexander Petrov and also in Roland Emmerich's massive WW2 epic MIDWAY next to Patrick Wilson, Nick Jonas, Woody Harrelson, Dennis Quaid and Aaron Eckhart!

  1. It's the first time I encounter the term "dramedy"...and I like it.
There are endless definitions of a Best Friend. Contrary to popular belief BF could be the opposite of you like the two in this movie. This doesn't necessarily create a comedy or a drama but rather a dramedy.

    1. he is nice, the only thing I don't like is that he is taking too many supporting roles in thrillers and cheap actions movies.

  3. Been a fan of Daniel Bruhl since 2013's 'Rush' with Chris Hemsworth. So happy he's paired up again with Luke Evans. Maybe another Newman & Redford team in the making?

    1. I love him mostly because he has a very warm and kind personality privately, which is why it is strange seeing him play brutes sometimes.
