TO HELM 'LIFE ON MARS'
A Quiet Place is getting near $100 million this week
While he is currently scoring an almost mind blowing success with the atmospheric horror movie A Quiet Place that he directed and is starring in with his wife Emily Blunt, John Krasinski is already planning another directorial project! This time it will be a galactic science fiction thriller!
As 'Hollywood Reporter' writes LIFE ON MARS will see him reteam with Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller in the movie adaptation of a short story by Cecil Castellucci titled We Have Always Lived on Mars that centres on a woman who is among a handful of descendants of a Martian colony long abandoned by Earth following a cataclysm. The woman one day finds she can breathe the air on Mars, upending her world and that of her fellow colonists.

  1. John Krasinski has had amazing success, first on TV, now as a director. It's like everything he touches turns to gold. And he's married to Emily Blunt!

    1. actually both of his two previous directorial projects were absolute flops :) The previous ones earned just one million dollar. That is what this one makes it a success for him, probably because Emily joined him.

  2. John Krasinski is another one of those actors that you just fall in love with every time you see him on screen. Who would have guessed that nerdy Jim from The Office would have been more successful at this point that Steve Carell, who seems to have up and vanished these past few years.

    1. I think Carell has some health problem if I remember correctly, but I'm not sure. I've never watched Office but I remember seeing Krasinski for the first time in some large ensemble family wedding movie and although the cast was filled with thespian superstars he was the only thing shinning from the screen. The same goes for his wife Millie Blunt, I remember how I was mesmerized by her in Devil Wears Prada. Hathaway ended up being the third role instead the leading one.

    2. I didn't hear about Carell's health issues. That's too bad. However, I never enjoyed him outside of his role in The Office. Kind of like Rainn Wilson. Love him in The Office, haven't cared for his movies. I'm glad John was able to break away from his role as Jim and continue to impress us with his talents (and good looks). Plus, we LOVE John and Emily Blunt together ♥

  3. I can tell from his face that Mars is doomed.
