FUNNY INDIE COMEDY TRAILERS FOR 'THE LOVERS' WITH DEBRA WINGER, AIDAN GILLEN AND 'ALL NIGHTER' WITH J.K. SIMMONS, EMILE HIRSCH

 'THE LOVERS'  TRAILER
A LOVE SO STRONG IT CAN SURVIVE MARRIAGE
Here's a rather funny and interesting trailer for new comedy drama THE LOVERS out next May! It is a refreshing, funny look at love, fidelity, and family, starring Debra Winger and Tracy Letts as a long married and completely dispassionate husband and wife. Both are in the midst of serious affairs and are increasingly committed to their new partners (Aidan Gillen plays hers). But on the brink of officially calling it quits, a spark between them suddenly and unexpectedly reignites, leading them into an impulsive romance that forces them to navigate the hilarious complications of "cheating" on their respective lovers. A mixture of humour and powerful emotion, the story is a uniquely honest take on modern marriage.

 'ALL NIGHTER'  TRAILER
OUT ALL NIGHT WITH HER DAD!
And another indie comedy trailer and poster for you today: this one from ALL NIGHTER, out this March in cinemas starring J.K. Simmons as  a workaholic father who attempts to visit his daughter during a layover in LA, only to discover that she's disappeared, and is then forced to team up with her awkward ex boyfriend to find her over the course of one transformative night. The ex boyfriend is played by Emile Hirsch! Hunter Parrish is also in the cast!

  2. The Lovers is hilarious. All Nighter is insanely funny. That punch came out of nowhere but J.K. Simmons does know how to play some bad ass dudes. Both trailers cracked my funny bone.

  3. Boy, I hope that I don't ever get to have one of those modern marriages where Jason and I decide it's ok to cheat on each other. I get that this is supposed to be a comedy, but my brain isn't wrapping around the idea of building a life with someone, then slipping so far away from each other that would be a possibility. Maybe we're just two old fashioned ninnies lol

All Nighter.. I feel sorry for any guy that would have to spend all night with Jason looking for one of his girls. When Shaggy turned 18, the first thing Jason said to him was, "You're no longer a minor. I can kick your ass and not get in as much trouble for it now!" Of course, he was joking, but it did make Luke stammer a bit, hahaha!

    1. Bare in mind these two have been married for many decades, people get tired of each other, the flame dies and sometimes the new spark comes from the most unexpected sources.

He he... did Shaggy's mother do the same thing with Mariah? It is not like girls cannot mistreat their boyfriends too :)

    2. Well, I've been with Jason for 2 decades. I'll refuse to find my spark with someone else and will chop off his balls if he even thinks about doing it ;)

No, his mom is from Germany and doesn't get our brand of humor. She LOVES Mariah to pieces, Allison too (she was her lunch lady for a few years at school). Even though Luke is her only son, and you know how moms can be when they only have 1 boy in the kid mix, she's been nothing but warm and supportive to her. Nothing like my mother-in-law who nailed me with a snowball in my back the first time she met me. She denies doing it now, or will say she was doing it to be funny, but I call bullshit on that lol. Of course, she adores me now, but it did take a while for her to warm up to me.

    3. Pfft, you'd never be a good swinger :PPP

Ah, I remember the nice lunch lady that loved Allison and exchanged presents with her, I often remember it, as I think all people should raise their kids with such values.

    4. That was a different lunch lady and you know, that lady still drops off gifts for Allison every holiday and we still take her Christmas cookies each year. Allison likes to hand write and mail her letters every now and again, which is so lovely in this day where most correspondence is done electronically.

    5. indeed, a friend of mine was lamenting recently on how nobody sends Christmas cards either anymore. I used to do it for a decade and since nobody returned the favour I felt like a fool and stopped doing it :)

    6. I got tired of sending them out too, so a few years ago I saved all the addresses of the people who mailed me one and only mailed them one the following year. I still do that and sadly, the list has really dwindled. I'm doing it with Facebook likes too. I try to like or comment on everyone's posts on Facebook, but there are some that NEVER like or even comment on my posts. It's like why the hell are we even friends if we can't even interact on here at least once in a while? There's one family member who is like that, then when I see her she's like "did you see my photo on facebook!?" kinda fishing for a reason on why I didn't like it or comment on it. Well, bish, cause you don't ever like or comment on mine! pft!

    7. Some people definitely don't know how to use Facebook, there should be an online course about it. I too have friends who never commented or liked any of my posts, even though I'm the only one who comments on theirs and then they're like oh, why do I don't have friends here... well, I wonder! I often feel sorry for befriending certain people there or accepting their request, 'cause some of them act like dead from the start :) And it is not like I post bad or irritating things, right? Dezzy has the loveliest profile of them all :)

    8. You do have the loveliest profile and every one of your friends should be liking your stuff! Even if not ALL of it, at least every once in a while, you know. I'm guilty of rushing through the feed and missing likes every now and again, but at least I make a genuine effort to interact with everyone on there, even though I hardly ever post anything myself. Seriously, start that course Dezzy and I'll send it to all the buttholes on my friend list who think social media is all about them.

    1. Not really :) I just got King's Cage to translate and I positively despise the so called writer of it :) Cannot say I will be enjoying the beginning of my year

  5. It makes me sad to think that people nowadays find cheating normal and acceptable. Why don't they just get a divorce and start something new instead of betray their spouses? Ah I guess I'm too old fashioned for 2017
