GORGEOUS TRAILER FOR PERIOD SET 'VICEROY'S HOUSE' MOVIE WITH HUGH BONNEVILLE, MANISH DAYAL, MICHAEL GAMBON, GILLIAN ANDERSON

'VICEROY'S HOUSE' TRAILER
STARRING HUGH BONNEVILLE AND MANISH DAYAL
We've been waiting for this one a very long time indeed: gorgeous first trailer and poster have been released for period set drama VICEROY'S HOUSE out in UK this March (marking the 70 years since India has gained its independence from bloody and ruthless British enslavement) with Hugh Bonneville as Lord Mountbatten and Gillian Anderson as Lady Mountbatten (with the most horridly fake British accent) and Lily Travers, Michael Gambon, Simon Callow and our most beloved Manish Dayal (100 Foot Journey) rounding up the cast!

THE END OF THE DARK RULE
Story is set in Viceroy’s House in Delhi, the home of British invaders and exploiters of India. After 300 years, that dark rule is coming to an end and for six months in 1947 Lord Mountbatten, great grandson of Queen Victoria, assumed the post of the last Viceroy, charged with handing India back to its people. The story unfolds within this great house where the Mountbattens lived upstairs and downstairs lived their 500 Hindu, Muslim and Sikh servants. As the political elite converged on the house to wrangle over the birth of independent India, conflict erupted.

  2. Looks good! I wonder how it will compare against Attenborough's "Gandhi" from 30 years ago?

  3. Gillian is certainly overreaching with her accent here! I guess she's trying to do the queens english. But who cares for my eyes will be glued on Manish!! ❤️❤️❤️

    1. I've truly never understood why some people love Gillian so much, in every project I've seen her she was godawful, and truly amateurish. No depth and no expressive charisma whatsoever.
We do ever so adore Manish! He can Dayal us any time he wants :)

  5. The trailer is great but you were right Dezmond there are some awful accents in this thing. I just don't understand why this ridiculous problem still exists. Just get a damn coach for the actor already! Jamaican accents are still too often one of the worst. Especially when they add 'man' to nearly every sentence. Who said we only had one gender in our damn country?

    1. It exists because Gillian has always been a very bad actress, you should've seen her in this year's WAR AND PEACE, she was painfully bad, beyond terrible.
Is Sean Paul from Jamaica, dear?

  7. "bloody and ruthless British enslavement"

Wow. Why don't you tell us how you really feel. ;) It's interesting how differently the Brits feel about their handling of things and the way the people being handled felt about it.

    1. isn't it a fact? Nothing subjective in it. The enslavers and intruders always try to cover up the truth, just look at modern USA that sees itself as a world cop while the rest of the world justly considers them modern Nazis and the biggest threat to world peace.

  8. Hi Dizzy, looks awesome! And first, I really like a lot Hugh Bonneville (I am a fan of Downtown Abbey) and second, less difficult for a French guy to support an awful accent so...looks awesome to me!

  9. This looks and sounds like an interesting movie. I appreciate when actors work to get their accents right. I know it can't be easy- but it is worth the effort to help the viewer fall into the story completely instead of being dragged out when the accent is off...
