Fantasy treats for you today, starting with some sf with the new poster and TV spot for PASSENGERS sf thriller which is out this Christmas week!
On a routine journey through space to a new home, two passengers, sleeping in suspended animation, are awakened 90 years too early when their ship malfunctions. As Jim (Chris Pratt) and Aurora (Jennifer Lawrence) face living the rest of their lives on board, with every luxury they could ever ask for, they begin to fall for each other, unable to deny their intense attraction... until they discover the ship is in grave danger. With the lives of 5000 sleeping passengers at stake, only Jim and Aurora can save them all!

Meanwhile, Netflix has dropped the first trailer and photos for their A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS mini series which will be released around the world on January 13th! A small screen adaptation of Lemony Snicket book's it brings the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny, whose evil guardian Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. The siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death. The eight episode series also stars Patrick Warburton, Joan Cusack, Malina Weissman and Louis Hynes.

  2. I chanced upon the Passengers trailer at the cinema and watching it again makes me wonder watching it even more. A Series of Unfortunate Events seem equally good too.
