JOSH HARTNETT, JOHN RHYS DAVIES, CHARLOTTE RAMPLING IN 'VALLEY OF THE GODS' SF MOVIE! 'ROOTS' EPIC TV SERIES TRAILER WITH MALACHI KIRBY, JONATHAN RHYS MEYERS, MATTHEW GOODE, JAMES PUREFOY

'VALLEY OF THE GODS' SF FILM
JOSH HARTNETT, JOHN RHYS DAVIES & CHARLOTTE RAMPLING
Well this is a rather nice cast: Josh Hartnett has just been joined by two acting legends John Rhys Davies and Charlotte Rampling in sf movie VALLEY OF THE GODS which, as 'Deadline' reports, intertwines the stories of the richest man on earth, an ancient Najavo legend and writer John Ecas (Josh Hartnett), who possesses an unbridled imagination.
John, the film’s narrator, has the ability to alter reality, launching the narrative into the realm of spectacular fantasy. The film follows the three narratives as the characters attempt to escape the inevitable drama that is about to unfold when supernatural visions ultimately clash with impending reality. Charlotte Rampling is currently nominated for an Oscar for 45 YEARS, while Davies is playing Elven King in THE SHANNARA CHRONICLES.

  2. I won't be watching it; I get too angry. That's it's based on a true story just makes me even angrier. just watching the trailer pisses me off. lol So it looks like Fishburne is Alex Haley? He's such a good actor.

  4. Roots definitely has a star-studded cast. I think I would get very upset watching the cruelty of the slave owners against the slaves. Not an uplifting movie!

  5. I don't know if I could watch Roots again. It was so heartwrenching and I wanted to kill ALL the white people. It's like Dustin Hoffman's Little Big Man. I can only watch it once.

Valley of the Gods on the other hand, might be fun :)

  7. The original "Roots" series packed such a wallop! Looking forward to the remake. I'm sure that, if anything, it will be even more unflinching in its presentation of the stories.

  8. Roots is back in the consciousness. The other day, one student referred to another as Kunta Kinte. I wasn't sure if I was impressed or worried.

    1. oh, my, hope the other student wasn't black :( I remember the name Kunta Kinte as a kid, as the original was obviously popular in my old country as well, but I never knew who it was before this remake.

  9. Roots is definitely not an easy watch, but it's a story that needs to be told.
