LOVELY 'LOVE, ROSIE' TRAILER WITH LILY COLLINS, SAM CLAFLIN! IS JARED LETO MARVEL'S 'DOCTOR STRANGE'? JONATHAN RHYS MEYERS, JEREMY IRVINE, RON PERLMAN IN ROLAND EMMERICH'S 'STONEWALL'!

IS JARED LETO
MARVEL'S DOCTOR STRANGE
Only a day ago the news arrived that the big screen adaptation of Marvel's DOCTOR STRANGE will be directed by SINISTER and DELIVER US FROM EVIL helmer Scott Derrickson (although they are still looking for a person who will direct their ANT MAN), and now the word around Tinseltown is that Marvel might want fresh Oscar winner Jared Leto in the lead role! DOCTOR STRANGE first appeared in Marvel comics back in the 1960s. Doctor Strange, also known as the Sorcerer Supreme, is a former neurosurgeon who, after suffering an accident that ruined his hands, travels deep into the Himalayas where he becomes a student of the Ancient One and learns to use magic which helps him become the primary protector of Earth against magical and mythical threats. The movie won't appear in cinemas before 2017!

STONEWALL DRAMA CASTS
JONATHAN RHYS MEYERS, JEREMY IRVINE, RON PERL- MAN
Meanwhile, Roland Emmerich has revealed stellar cast for his gay rights 60's drama STONEWALL! Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Jeremy Irvine and Ron Perlman will lead the ensemble!  STONEWALL is drama about a young man in New York caught up during the 1969 Stonewall Riots, a pivotal event widely considered the starting point for the modern gay civil rights movement. Kicked out of his own home, young Danny Winters (Jeremy Irvine) flees to NY, leaving behind his beloved sister (Joey King). Homeless and destitute, he befriends a group of street kids who soon introduce him to the watering hole of the local drag queens, gays, lesbians, and everything in between: The Stonewall Inn. However, this shady, mafia-run club is far from a safe-haven. At the bar, Danny meets the suave Trevor (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) before catching the eye of Ed Murphy (Ron Perlman), Stonewall's repulsive manager who colludes with corrupt police, exploits homeless youth for financial gain, and is even suspected to have had a hand in some of their "disappearances." It spirals out of control when the police unexpectedly raid Stonewall. In a storm of anger and with the toss of a single brick, a riot ensues and a crusade for equality is born.

  2. Hmmm....Jared Leto as Dr. Strange. I had to ponder that one for a long time. Still not sure. I'm having a tough time imagining that.

    1. I wouldn't like him in it, either, I generally do not think he is a good actor.... And his Oscar win was predictable... not in a good way

  3. I agree. I don't think Jared Leto would make a good Dr. Strange. And Love, Rosie is my kind of movie too.

Nice to see Jonathan Rhys Meyers in something new. I do like him as an actor, but that Dracula series was horrible. I wasn't surprised when it got cancelled.

    1. DRACULA was just too dark visually and it lacked some special touch in style and direction. And some of the actresses were truly horrible. But it was at NBC, so I'm not surprised it flopped.... they will destroy CROSSBONES too now...

    2. I agree. I really wanted to like the show, but cancelled the show from my tivo after the 2nd episode. It was just too bland. Like you said- lacked that extra oomph to make it watchable.
