WARNER BROS PLANNING NEW 'MERLIN' EPIC FANTASY ADVENTURE FRANCHISE! SYLVIA DAY'S EROTIC SAGA 'CROSSFIRE' GETS TV SHOW VERSION! WORKERS WIN LOTTERY IN ABC'S NEW DRAMA 'LUCKY 7'

NEW 'MERLIN' MOVIE
FROM WARNER BROS!
Good news from the epic front, people! If you miss BBC's MERLIN show which ended, quite disappointingly, last Christmas, the wise wizard from Avalon and Camelot is coming back, but to the big screens. 'Variety' reports that Warner Bros. has hired GAME OF THRONES scribe Dave Hill to pen the script for MERLIN big screen fantasy adventure. No details on the plot so far, but the aim is to create a family friendly franchise at the studio. If you remember, last year Warner had a plan of making ARTHUR AND LANCELOT saga with Kit Harrington from GAME OF THRONES and Joel Kinnaman from THE KILLING in the lead roles, but cancelled the project due to high costs. Now it seems they're returning to medieval times!

'CROSSFIRE' TV SERIES
ON SYLVIA DAY'S EROTIC SAGA
And all of ya ladies who're anxiously expecting the movie version of TEN SHADES OF GREY (can't say I understand you :P) here's something related: Lionsgate will turn another erotic megabestseller into a TV series: 'Deadline' reports that Sylvia Day's CROSSFIRE saga will become a television show. Sold in over 12 million copies since its debut last year, the three books in the saga centre on Eva Tramell, a young up-and comer in the advertising world, and billionaire businessman, Gideon Cross who are both trying to overcome their devastating and abusive pasts. As they are intensely drawn to one another, both physically and emotionally, the two must find a way to heal each other in order to move on and establish a healthy romantic relationship.

LUCKY 7
 NEW ABC SHOW
Today, you can also check out the trailer for ABC new drama series LUCKY 7 which should start airing this September in the new Fall season. Based on British TV show SYNDICATE, the series will revolve around a group of seven gas station employees in Queens, New York, who play the lottery every week and dream about what they would do with the winnings. When they do finally hit the jackpot, the coworkers learn that money may solve some problems, but it creates new ones. The cast includes Matt Long, Stephen Louis, Luis Antonio Ramos and Anastasia Phillips.

  3. I'll watch a movie about Merlin. And the Lucky 7 clip was okay. Not sure how far they can go with the setup, but it could be interesting.

    1. I watched a brilliant Australian show which also had the same plot - four girlfriends who shared the lottery win. It was quite a nice one.

  6. I wonder what take they'll have on Merlin. Will it be traditional or something totally new. Either way, I'm interested.

Lucky 7 looks funny. I've heard that winning the lottery does ruin some peoples lives. I don't play it, but just about everyone here is gaga over it.

    1. I wonder if Merlin will be old or young in it.
Yep, so many stories of ruined lives after winning lottery. Wish mine would be ruined in that exact way LOL

    2. I don't play the lottery as it really is a scam by governments to make money off poor people who are desperate. In Ireland we have shows on the telly that are connected with the lotto. It's sick and it makes me angry when I see all those poor folks that they give false hope to.

    3. it's true, dear, I always thought that the lottery was invented for the same reason as the church - to play with the minds and money of poor masses :(
In my country most of the games are set up and even when the scandals are publicly revealed nobody gets their money back....

  7. Hmm. Merlin had me excited, until I saw "family friendly franchise." Too bad, since there's a lot of really dark, very mature content in the stories to be mined for the right audience.

    1. Yes, but you will agree that families really have nothing to take their kids too these days, only The Smurfs :) There are too many dark movies out there today

  8. I just read a different book with the exact same storyline as Bared to You. Maybe writers are bringing something different to the formula.

    1. that is Merlin's traditional outfit, Sam Wise, blue hat and cape :)

    2. ok but Gandalf wear a blue hat too and a cape (or "grey mantle" as describe him Tolkien!) I don't know who is the first who decide !
(Merlin can't have a "traditional outfit", Dezz, I'm sorry but he's a fictional character, you know ?!

    3. Merlin is almost always connected with the outfit he wore in famous Disney's animated film on EXCALIBUR :)

  10. I've heard most people who win lotteries are worse off financially after 5 or 10 years than they were before they won. Strange. You'd think they'd immediately invest a huge chunk in something safe!

  11. Merlin!! Too bad they didn't keep our cutie Colin Morgan. Grr...:(

Billionaires are evidently as plentiful as raindrops in the romance world. And I'm sorry, but boo hoo, you've got billions to drown out your scarred past. LOL

  16. The Merlin flick sounds like a winner. My hubby would really go for that.

With the lottery up over 400 million, I might have to pick up a ticket or two. I always say, "Somebody's gonna win, why not us?"... but I guess I have to actually buy a ticket once in a while to give that plan a shot.

    1. yep, me too, I should buy it at least from time to time :) The win would solve all my problems and also most of the world's problems :)

  18. Lucky 7 looks like fun. Merlin could be possibly interesting. Not sure if we haven't flooded the market though... and not with good versions.
