2ND TRAILERS FOR "MAN OF STEEL" WITH HENRY CAVILL, AMY ADAMS, RUSSELL CROWE & "THE LONE RANGER" WITH ARMIE HAMMER, JOHNNIE DEPP, HELENA BONHAM CARTER! "WELCOME TO THE PUNCH" TRAILER WITH JAMES MCAVOY, MARK STRONG

Your special treat for today is the second trailer for next year's superhero film MAN OF STEEL. It's much longer than the first one and reveals more of the action and the story. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young
twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world's beacon of hope - Superman! The cast also includes Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Julia Ormond as Lara and Michael Shannon as General Zod.

LONE RANGER TRAILER
And guess what? There's another second trailer for you - this one for THE LONE RANGER. The first one wasn't all that successful and
most people forgot that the film is hitting cinemas next summer. Maybe the second trailer is better? Starring Armie Hammer, Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter (you are shocked, yes?), and directed by Gore Verbinski, the Lone Ranger's origin story begins with a group of Texas Rangers chasing down a gang of outlaws led by Butch Cavendish. The gang ambushes the Rangers, seemingly killing them all. One survivor is found, however, by an American Indian named Tonto, who nurses him back to health. The Ranger, donning a mask and riding a white stallion named Silver, teams up with Tonto to bring the unscrupulous gang and others of that ilk to justice.

WELCOME TO THE PUNCH TRAILER
Ah, that is how it goes in crazy Hollywood - no trailers for two months and then they release dozens of them in just one week. Your third clip for today is the first trailer for WELCOME TO THE PUNCHReady to premiere next March and starring James McAvoy, Mark Strong
and THE WALKING DEAD's David Morrissey, this crime thriller follows former criminal Jacob Sternwood who is forced to return to London from his Icelandic hideaway when his son is involved in a heist gone wrong. This gives detective Max Lewinsky one last chance to catch the man he has always been after. As they face off, they start to uncover a deeper conspiracy they both need to solve in order to survive.
PS don't forget that you can watch live coverage of THE HOBBIT ROYAL PREMIERE at London over at Warner Bros. channel!

    1. yep, we just can't escape the feeling it's PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN movie, since there are both Verbinski and Depp in it, and plus Depp looks the same as in all of his movies.

    4. Far over the Misty Mountains rise
Leave us standing upon the height
What was before, we see once more
Is our kingdom, a distant light

      Fiery mountain beneath the moon
The words aren’t spoken, we’ll be there soon
For home a song that echoes on
And all who find us will know the tune

  9. Me likes the costume in Man of Steel. I don't know about the movie, but I like the idea of the internal struggle Clark has to go through to make peace with who he is. I noticed they "darkened" it up like they have with Batman movies (same people I know).

I've seen some of the telly shows that The Lone Ranger comes from so I get the bits of humour in it. I'm a little uncomfortable with it though as The Spawn has a friend who is from the Ojibwe tribe and they are very proud of their cultural heritage. And they don't call themselves Indians either or Native Americans (that's just white mans PC term). It's the Ojibwe people and they have their own Nations. You should hear her speak her native language, it's beautiful. She's also taught me a lot about the plants native to this region. I know, I'm off topic. So the movie, maybe not so much. Sure it will be a hit though.

    1. You know I positively despise that dark director, he and Tarantino are the biggest evil in todays film :(

I also have a Native American friend, her name is Avalon and you might've seen her at my Facebook. I know that most of them have learnt not to be offended and they kinda take it all with a sense of irony, kinda like we Serbs and Irish people have learnt to :( It is sad how the ones who committed genocide over their ancestors are now writing the history and are ridiculing them :(

  15. I could be interested with the Lone Ranger, but the trailer (except the beginning) don't gives me a good feeling ...

    1. tell us how you liked it if you watch it, Samwise. I probably won't see it any time soon since I don't have a cinema in my town :(

      Delete
    2. I will tell.... except if I don't like it!

No cinema in your town ??? you're really unlucky and it shows how it's hard to live in your country!
You are very courageous to stay there!

    3. we have multiplex cinemas only in three or four of the biggest cities. The problem is that most people don't have money to watch films so cinemas can really earn enough to stay open.

    4. sad!
but in France, people always have money (from where?) for cinema, football, smartphones, everything which is futile and sometimes nothing to eat or for their children, I'm not sure that's it's better!

    5. that's because your country has never been bombed, ravaged and destroyed by Americans, Brits, Germans and the French, like we were :( It's almost impossible to recover when NATO bombs destroy your factories, bridges, roads....

  16. I'm hoping MAN OF STEEL works out in whole as much as that trailer did. Looks amazing. Henry Cavill for the win. I'm liking this whole cast.

    1. Henry will leave his mark on the role, I know he will. I'm so proud to be among the first ones who have discovered him back in the old days :) And the same goes for Eddie Redmayne from LES MISERABLES and Luke Evans in HOBBIT :)

      Delete
    2. I saw a clip of Amanda Seyfried and Eddie Redmayne singing "Heart Full of Love" last night. I'm hoping it was just the quality of the clip because it sounded awful. That's not a dig at Eddie. Just to be clear. Amanda seemed a little...robotic, as Miss Vic said.

    3. over at HOLLYWOOD REPORTER they did watch the film saying it's a mix of great acting and tones of musical diarrhoea :)

  17. Loved these trailers. I cannot wait for Man of Steel, Henry is spot on. The Love Ranger trailer looks much ore in keeping with the spirit of the series, which I grew up on, as well as the sensibility of Pirates. Though this has it all over Pirates because there is no Keira. LOL

I've been seeing so many clips for Les Mis and it looks amazing. Just like the stage musical, but bigger. I just hope it doesn't get beat down by ignorant film goers who want action every 3 seconds or in the case of the Hollywood Reporter, are complete cultureless oafs when it comes to understanding the genre of musical theater. ;)

    1. I don't remember we've ever had such a huge week when it comes to new trailers especially with today's PACIFIC RIM clip :) Hollywood is crazy, instead of publishing them separately so that all would get attention, they give us all within a few days.

Fingers crossed that ROTTEN TOMATOES and other nests of pure evil won't ruin LES MISERABLES like they did with so many other good flicks
