HOLLYWOOD SPY'S REPORT FROM THE LAVISH ROYAL WEDDING OF LUXEMBOURG'S CROWN PRINCE GUILLAUME AND COUNTESS STEPHANIE DE LANNOY!

As you know, HOLLYWOOD SPY likes to cover royal weddings in our posts too, and since our previous coverages of delightful royal weddings in Monaco of prince Albert and princess Charlene, in Jordan of prince Rashid and princess Zeina and in United Kingdom of
prince William and Kate Middleton, were so popular and well visited by our readers, here's the latest one. We are a bit late, since it happened a week ago, but here is the report from the royal wedding in one of Europe's smallest countries Luxembourg with some truly
gorgeous pictures. It was the wedding of Prince Guillaume, who is the heir to the throne and the future grand duke of Luxembourg, and his new wife Belgian Countess Stephanie de Lannoy.

THE ROYAL GUESTS
As you will see in the pictures the truly lavish and utterly beautiful ceremony in the divinely decorated cathedral has gathered lots of Europe's and world's crowned heads including some kings and queens.
Among others, there were royal heads from Denmark (always delightful pair prince Frederick and his lovely wife Marry) Belgium, Norway, Serbia, Sweden, Lichtenstein, Romania, Holland, Romania and Great
Britain (Prince Edward and his wife), and always stunning Lalla Salma, the wife of Moroccan king.

THE WEDDING GOWN
I must admit I liked princess Stephanie's dress the most from all the royal gowns we have seen recently since we have had so many royal weddings around Europe. Her gown was very simple, but gorgeously
refined with stunning lace veil which had a stunning length of four meters and was designed by world's best high fashion designer Elie Saab, who, as you know, dresses most of the elegant stars at all
the famous movie awards. The gown was also richly beaded, made of silk and lace with silver floral designs. The only thing I did not like was her hairdo, since she looks much prettier and sweeter with her long golden hair down.

A COSTLY WEDDING
Similarly to last year's royal wedding in Monaco, this one was also very expensive (they say it cost about 500,000 euro, but as you know, even though it is one of the smallest countries, Luxembourg is also one
of the richest countries in the world since it is a financial and steel haven), and it featured vivid celebrations around the city with fireworks, concerts and street parades.

GUILLAUME & STEPHANIE
If you follow royal circles you already know that young and very handsome prince Guillaume has, for quite a long time, been one of the most attractive royal bachelors in the world, and he got engaged
with Stephanie last year. They also had a sad moment at the wedding when they held a minute of silence to Stephanie's mother who died in August.  After and before the wedding the royal couple was greeted
by adoring crowds who gathered in the streets and in front of the church and the grand-ducal palace. The couple has been enjoying great popularity and are beloved by the citizens of Luxembourg. She is two years younger than him, who is 30 years old. Guillaume is known for
his charity work and is a member of Luxembourg army, while Stephanie is a well educated young lady who, luckily, speaks both languages of Luxembourg - German and French. She will become
Luxembourg's Grand Duchess when Guillaume takes the throne from his parents. It is interesting that he is the last of the European heirs to to throne to get married among the ones who rule the official monarchies.

  4. I did read about it last weekend, but I didn't get to see the photo of her dress. That train is crazy long! What a beautiful couple, though. And I love all the hats the women wear in Europe. Some are kind of silly, but what fun. I wish more women in the US would start wearing hats. :)

    1. yep, some of the royals are always a bit kitschy dressed (Holland, Britain) and some are always refined and elegant (Denmark, Morocco).
Well, why don't you start the trend over there at your next wedding? :)

    2. I think I'm a born again cynic when it comes to marriage. :)

But I do like the big production of these royal weddings. I love the hats the women from Spain and Denmark are wearing. Very elegant.

    3. those are not just women, but future queens, darling :) Leticia and Mary are married to crown princes :) Mary has always been my fave, she's from Australia, and I still remember her and Frederick's wedding from a few years ago, they're such a humble, but deeply lovely couple and I believe they truly love eachother. Scandinavian nobles always marry for love, which is why you don't have many noble+noble ties up there. Haakon from Norway married a woman who already had a kid and Frederick married an ordinary girl Mary from Australia, while Swedish princess, who is the heir to the throne, married DAniel, her fitness trainer :)

  5. I have always wanted to go to Luxembourg as it is so very beautiful.

This wedding looks splendid darling, it's a real life epic. The things that fairy tales are made of. I do like her dress too and the photos taken were just perfect. Ooooh to see such things in real life would be grand.

She knew she'd look best if she hires Saab to make her dress, he is always the best! I love it when he puts Zeta Jones, Marcia Cross in his gowns :)

  6. I am such a sucker for a wedding! I was looking at pictures of this all weekend! Although it was from my phone...and though my phone has a big screen, it just doesn't do the beautiful photos justice!!

How lovely. And maybe its just the romantic side of me, but they really look happy. Which makes me happy!

They do look happy :) His youngest brother is the black sheep of the family (he had a baby while he was still underaged and had to get married in a rush), but Guillaume
was always the refined one. And Stephanie seems educated and lovely.

  13. Yes, I have read about them...such a lovely couple. Her dress is so gorgeous and her lovely smile is her best feature ~

I have been following these European royals..I do like Princess Mary of Denmark, she looks very regal and well dressed. What was a bit weird for me was Princess Victoria and her fitness instructor. Daniel still looks suspiciously like a gold digger to me despite his well brushed hair. Princess Victoria's sister is engaged now to NY financier, so expect another royal wedding next year ~

    1. I will never understand why aren't Mary and Frederick top crowned heads when it comes to press presence, they're so interesting and cute.
My theory is that Daniel is gay, it's written on his face and on his hairdo. Yes, I know about her younger sister, can't wait for that one, she is so gorgeous, and I wonder if we shall ever see a wedding of their stunning brother (who also might be gay). Such lovely kids, which is strange, given the fact that their father is such a naughty man followed by so many sex scandal

    2. Mary and Frederick have a lovely family too..maybe its because there is nothing controversial about them. I must say though I find their love story very sweet.

Interesting theory of Daniel, though when I heard him speak in their native tongue, he came out poised and authoritative. I think his ego is stronger than the frail Victoria..ironic isn't it. I never knew about their father...These royal love stories are interesting...I read them in my spare time ~

    3. they're the true examples of what noble should be, Mary and Frederick.

Well, he certainly looks very gay, maybe he's one of those Spartan gays :)
Their father likes to frequent prostitutes and strip clubs :) There are even some secret films (shot by the owner of the strip club for the purpose of blackmail) of him inflagranti with some famous stripper or a porn star, I'm not sure.... A very naughty business :)

    1. we don't have it actually :) We're a republic, we've thrown down the royal parasites back in April 1942 when they wanted to sign alliance with Hitler, and the people took to streets, exiled the royals and started fighting against the Nazis.
The royal family did return some 15 years ago and moved in into the palace, but most of the people sees them as parasites and they have no role in our country. Prince Alexander speaks Serbian probably worse than you :) It really is a shame... but we do have his three young sons, princes Filip, Aleksandar and Petar, who are all bachelors...
Prince Alexander's sister is actually Elizabeth Karadjordjevic the mother of your actress Catherine Oxenberg (from DYNASTY, also known as Casper Van Diem's wife). Our royal family has blood ties with the English one and UK's Elizabeth II is actually Alexander's godmother :)
