TAYLOR KITSCH HAS "NEED FOR SPEED"! "BACHELORETTE" TRAILER WITH KIRSTEN DUNST, JAMES MARSDEN! GWYNETH PALTROW IN "BLOOD, BONES & BUTTER"! JACKIE EARLE HALEY JOINS HUGH LAURIE, JOEL KINNAMAN IN "ROBOCOP"

According to "MovieWeb" one of the breakthrough stars of the year, handsome fella Taylor Kitsch from JOHN CARTER, SAVAGES and BATTLESHIP, is the
main candidate for the lead role in NEED FOR SPEED, a "Dreamworks" project on the film adaptation of the famous video game which might be done similar to FAST AND  FURIOUS franchise with tones of action and fast cars. ACT OF VALOUR director Scott Waugh is helming the movie. Meanwhile, Jackie Earle Haley has joined ROBOCOP remake, as Maddox, who gives the crime-fighting cyborg (Joel Kinnaman) military training before RoboCop goes out to clean up the mean streets of Detroit. The film, which will be set in year 2029, might also add young Jay Baruchel to the cast which also includes Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, Abbie Cornish and Hugh Laurie as the villain.

HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
Another piece of movie news this weekend came from "The Hollywood Reporter": Gwyneth Paltrow is apparently in talks to join BLOOD, BONES AND BUTTER the movie adaptation of Gabrielle Hamilton's memoirs. The book follows her journey from an unorthodox childhood to becoming a chef and owner of New York's Prune restaurant. She is the youngest of five children, whose artistic father made the sets for the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus. It is interesting that Gwyneth herself is famous for her vegetarian diet and she even wrote a cookbook last year.

BACHELORETTE TRAILER
Your trailer for today, people, is for raunchy comedy BACHELORETTE which hits cinemas later this year starring
James Marsden, Lizzy Caplan, Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher, Adam Scott and Rebel Wilson. The story of the hilarious comedy follows the misadventures of a soon- to-be bride who has a tumultuous bachelorette party, causing her to reconsider whether she is fit for married life. Rebel Wilson plays the unwitting bride to three unengaged bridesmaids (Lizzy Caplan, Kirsten Dunst, and Isla Fisher) who want to do her nothing but harm, but that's what happens when you are asked to be bridesmaid at a wedding of a woman you used to ridicule back in high school.

  1. Making Need for Speed with 2 more Fast and the Furious movies coming, hmm sounds like they are trying to cash in, but that is nothing new of course.

  3. Anything with Taylor Kitsch is awesome in my book. I just love to look at him. ;P

No on the Bachelorette. I could never believe someone would be stupid enough to have former enemies as bridesmaids.

  5. Ok. I am all around excited. Especially about the whole Robocop thing...because for one, I have all kinds of love for Hugh Laurie, and two, I can tell you from being in the general vicinity, Detroit could use Robocop. Now.

The Gwyneth Paltrow thing sounds good too. For some reason I always tried to not like her, but I just accepted that she's awesome and look forward to her all the time now!

    1. lol, we all need a Robocop or two :)
Yep, most people don't like Gwyny, she's the perfect example of nepotism in the world.

  8. First you had me at Hugh Laurie - as always, you know how to make a girl smile!

Then you really had me at "raunchy comedy". I love Rebel Wilson, she is hysterically funny and deserves more roles.

    1. that Rebel seems rather crazy. I've never seen her in anything, but I know she's quite popular :)

  9. Bachelorette seems so stupid and yet I feel for the bride. However, I've been a fan of Paltrow for a long time and I'm glad she's coming out with something soon.

  13. You know I'm not into Robocop, but I love Hugh. Have you ever seen him in Fortysomething. I don't think it aired outside of the BBC's territory, but it was marvelously funny.

The story for Blood, Bones and Butter looks good. I'm not a huge Paltrow fan though. As an actress I think she falls a bit flat.

The Bachelorette could be a good one. Weddings have always been good fodder for comedy and we all need to laugh at something these days.

      Gwyneth lacks appeal.

  15. I love comedies. I'll be on the lookout for The Bachelorette.

I don't really watch car movies, but I might change my mind about them.

I didn't know Paltrow had a cookbook out.

  17. I cannot believe they are giving Taylor Kitsch the lead in another film after the disaster of John Carter and Battleship (two major flops he starred in--and Savages as well). He is not bankable by any standards, why can't they see this? He is a terrible actor with mediocre looks... Come da fuk on! Seriously?

Meanwhile, true breakout stars like Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson and Three Musketeers) and Brenton Thwaites (Blue Lagoon Remake and star of the upcoming Maleficent) aren't getting the attention they deserve. I am pissed at this piece of lard. Pissed I tell you--PISSED!

On a ligther note, Bachelorette looks hilarious. :D

    1. oh, come on, sonny, he actually got very nice criticism for his acting in JOHN CARTER which wasn't really a huge flop, since it did earn hundreds of millions worldwide if not in USA. That film also got amazing reviews from everyone, but it had terrible marketing from Disney.

Logan will act in NOAH sf epic as one of Russell Crowe's sons :)
And, enough with the pissing :) I don't have enough people for cleaning the bathroom :)

      Glad you liked the trailer!

    2. Pfft. Say what you want Dez, he's still mediocre by any stretch of the imagination.

And I don't hate him, per se, just annoyed he is getting so much face time.

    3. he he... OK, OK, we know you is a bit jealous on Taylor :PP But if it's any comfort methinks you're way more handsome than him.... and probably a better writer ;)

  18. I like the actor. He's cute and appears to be fairly talented...but that movie John Carter was so silly!!! My brother and I will randomly look at each other and say "It is good to fly" and bust out laughing. hahaha I am excited for his new project though.

    1. yep, everybody says he has talent in him, he was just unfortunate enough to find himself in badly marketed films.

    2. At first I thought he was the brother from Seventh Heaven!

    3. ah, no, that would be some guy named Barry... something, forgot his name, he starred later on in SAMANTHA WHO next to Christina Applegate :)
