ROSIE HUNTINGTON WHITELEY JOINS TOM HARDY & CHARLIZE THERON IN "MAD MAX FURY ROAD"! COLIN FARRELL JOINS EMMA THOMPSON, TOM HANKS IN "SAVING MR. BANKS"! STUNNING TRAILER FOR RUSSIAN EPIC "THE HORDE"!

Are you excited about MAD MAX FURY ROAD, the reboot of the famous apocalyptic franchise which starred Mel Gibson? After a rather long delay
(years are in question), the shooting is finally ready to begin. It is interesting that George Miller, the director, is planning to shoot two films back to back, first FURY ROAD and then FURIOSA, the second one being titled after Charlize Theron's character, a shaved headed one armed warrioress! As you know the lead role this time goes to Tom Hardy who revealed that we shall see a restructuring of the original world using the same character, depositing him in the same world, but bringing him up to date by 30 years. The latest info from Down Under states that gorgeous Rosie Huntington Whiteley, known as the star of THE TRANSFORMERS film and as Jason Statham's fiancee, will play one of Mad Max's five wives in the film. The $100 million movie will also have Nicholas Hoult in the cast.

HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
Here's another movie telling a story of a famous writer. Walt Disney is preparing SAVING MR. BANKS, in which the story will follow
"Mary Poppins" author P.L. Travers (to be played by Emma Thompson), from her early childhood days in early 1900s Queensland, to her experiences in the 1960s, when she was negotiating with Walt Disney (to be played by Tom Hanks) about movie adaptations of her books. "The Hollywood Reporter" wrote this weekend that Colin Farrell might join the cast as the author's father, a banker who started drinking heavily after going through some hard times financially and whose hardships had a profound effect on her writing.

THE HORDE TRAILER
When it comes to trailers, today you have the honour to check out a visually stunning clip for Russian epic Орда or THE HORDE which hits Russian cinemas this September. Directed by Andrei Proskin, the epic tells the story of the horde, something that brought bloody tragedies and humiliating slavery to so many people around the world. The horde brought with itself a frightening world with its scary rules and oppressions. A man is sent to that world to do what no man has done before. Set in Russia under the Mongol-Tatar
yoke, when the Orthodox nation was under the rule of brutal and warlike nomads of the steppes the film follows a man on a mission to
save the wife of a powerful khagan who will, in gratitude, decide not to erase the Slavic principalities and cities from the face of the Earth with his horde.

  1. "Mary Poppins" was one of my favourite books when I was a kid. I'd be very interested in seeing a movie about P.L. Travers, especially with Emma Thompson in the lead role!

    1. I quite want to see THE HORDE, Russian films are always great as are most European ones too.
Mad Max trailer shouldn't be expected before next summer or year :)

  3. I haven't seen transformers 3 so the only thing I've seen Rosie Huntington Whiteley in is her under...fashion shoots.

  4. while I loved mad max (I still have a pic of Mel Gibson from the road warrior looking hot as hell in his leathers) I'm disappointed at the lack of imagination shown by hollywood lately and sick to death of remakes no matter how good they are. I want Hollywood to take a chance and make something new and unexpected.

    1. this one won't really be a remake but a continuation of the story or a story set in that same world :)
I'm not sure Hollywood will do anything new soon, since they are afraid of risks these days :(

    1. yes, I wish there was a trailer with English subtitles, but there wasn't even a plot in English so I had to translate it myself from Russian :) Thanks god I speak the language :)

  7. Yeah sure, Mad Max might be good but the other sequels we're not as good as the original. Saving Mr. Banks sounds interesting but I'll have to wait to hear more. Horde looks action packed and great!

  8. Pfft, Mad Max without Mel Gibson is not something I'll line up to see. If it ever gets made to begin with, as they were all ready to go before and poof, didn't work. Can't say I care if it ever gets made.

  10. I loved the original Mad Max and would love to see Tom Hardy, but forget RHW. She has to be one of the most vacant-headed people out there. She has absolutely no personality and looks like she has to be told how to blow her nose.

Emma Thompson's new project should be great. I love her and unlike RHW, she has a wit and intelligence that shines through everything she does.

    1. yep, sister, I've no idea what the hell is Statham doing with RHW when the two of us are single and available and very much interested :)))

  14. THE HORDE looks promising. I wonder if we'll ever be able to check it out in theaters in the states. After watching Charlize Theron's performance in SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN, I'm starting to enjoy her work even more and read about this new, upcoming head-shaving role of hers but I didn't have much interest in looking into it. I have no doubts that she will do her MAD MAX FURY ROAD character justice but I'm with L.G. Smith on the annoyance of all these Hollywood remakes....especially when many of them are unnecessary.

  15. Excited for Mad Max, Charlize AND Tom Hardy, woo hoo!

The cast for SAVING MR. BANKS is shaping up very nicely. Glad to see Emma Thompson playing an author again as she's a great writer herself.

    1. it's a hot combo isn't it? Too bad Charlize will look horrible in the film and probably won't have any naughty scenes with Tomzie :)

  16. Saving Mr. Banks sounds like a great movie concept, but I'm not sure that I'm sold. Tom Hanks' voice really irritates me...I used to not be a fan of Emma Thompson either, but I've grown to like her and she's grown too :)

    1. I don't like Hanks either, most of his performances are deeply irritating. I almost banged my head against the wall while trying to watch him in CASTAWAY.

  17. Mr. Banks sounds fascinating. I wonder if Disney will make Disney look good in the film. Also, the last move Horde also looks good.

  18. Definitely want to see Horde. I don't think I've seen an epic on that period of history ever and this looks fascinating. The visuals look great too.

I don't want to see the Mad Max thing but I would like to see Theron play this role. I really do like her Dez, she had such a horrible time growing up and she has depth as an actress.

    1. there were quite a lot of films on that topic in last few years, Sergei Bodrov's MONGOL being the most famous one, it was released in USA too.
Charlize did have a bad childhood.

  19. DEZZ, it has been a long, grueling few days for me here at work. And that image of Rosie just made everything better.
