ADAM LEVINE IN "CAN A SONG SAVE YOUR LIFE?" FUN TRAILER FOR ANNA KENDRICK'S "PITCH PERFECT" MUSICAL COMEDY! "SNOW CRASH" NOVEL FILM ADAPTATION!

Although his band hasn't had a huge hit ever since their first album, Maroon 5's Adam Levine has certainly used his time under the spotlight to gain personal fame, but it seems that music fame isn't enough for him so he is moving onto acting too. Beside scoring a role in AMERICAN HORROR STORY season two, he will now also star in CAN A SONG SAVE YOUR LIFE? He has joined Mark Ruffalo and Hailee Steinfeld in the John Carney directed film. Levine will play a man who moves to New York together with his girlfriend in order to pursue careers in music. After he dumps her for a solo contract, she is discovered in a local bar by Ruffalo's record producer.
HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
Now, here's an interesting sf project: Deadline reports that Paramount will work on a film adaptation of Neal Stephenson's
novel SNOW CRASH which was named one of Time Magazine's 100 greatest English-language novels of all time. The story is set in a United States which is now controlled by corporations and the mafia. The plot revolves around a computer virus dubbed Snow Crash, which has the ability to transfer from the computer screen directly into the users, destroying their brains. The protagonist, named Hiro, a computer hacker and pizza delivery guy, steps in to try and stop the utter downfall of human civilization.

PITCH PERFECT
And here's something fun and relaxing for the weekend: the first trailer for musical comedy PITCH PERFECT which is ready to open up in cinemas later this October. The story of this comedy follows a college misfit who doesn't fit in with any of the school's social cliques. She ends up realizing a hidden singing talent, and is recruited into a singing group that battles other rival a Capella groups. The cast of the film is lead by Anna Kendrick and also includes hilarious Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow.

  1. Quite the musical affair here today, do you feel like singing a tune? Full errr umm Blue Moon?

I like them when they are done well and not just some rehash crap, so we shall see. If a song can save a movies life.

I do admit it has been a very poor week in the movie news world and I had trouble finding anything remotely interesting today :( I'm even moving to Asia tomorrow due to this.

    1. it must be :) I'm not even sure what I will come up with for Monday and Tuesday :) It's been a dry period for a very long time now, no new trailers, no special news, nothing...

    2. Maybe inventing some news would work. Then the studios could listen and we would get a good movie for a change. Does seem that unless you wantcto talk about remakes every two seconds there is nothing though.

    3. I did have an idea on doing a post on epic places and events I'd like to see on film :) but I don't have the time to write it!

    5. that would be overly epic :) A whole new genre of epicness methinks... Wonder who would play the main villain? Who looks like an ebil cat in Hollywood?

    6. Pfft no one could play the cat, except the cat. Neat idea too, one day it will have to come due.

    7. maybe Jane Fonda could play you, cat? Or Joanne Collins? Liza Minelli possibly if she is still alive :)

  4. Is it wrong to want those hands to be mine? Adam is brutally hot and I can't wait for him in American Horror Story.

I sing very well, to imaginary arena fans in the confines of the car. ;)

  10. I'm with the Cat this time Dez. Nothing to be really thrilled about. The character Amy on Pitch Perfect is the one that intrigues me the most. The lead character, well that's been done to death.
