FUNNY TRAILER FOR CHRIS COLFER'S "STRUCK BY LIGHTNING"! ANTONIO BANDERAS IS PABLO PICASSO! ORLANDO BLOOM GOES "ZULU"! FUN POSTER FOR TIM BURTON'S "FRANKENWEENIE"

That Orlando Bloom really hasn't done much outside two amazing epics LORD OF THE RINGS and KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. And he keeps taking some bad offers, like the latest one, which doesn't sound promising to me at all: according to "MovieWeb" he will join Djimon
Hounsou
in ZULU, in which they will play two Cape Town police officers who investigate the murder of a 18 year-old girl, the daughter of a member of the championship winning Sprikboks rugby team, a job that ultimately reveals ties to the country's apartheid past. This year, Orlando will star in THE LAUREATE in which he and Imogen Poots play a married couple on the brink of disillusion which allows a stranger to live with them in their idyllic cottage. Will this stranger push their fragile state over the edge? As you know, he will also appear next to Dominic Cooper and Kirsten Dunst in CITIES, a film with three different stories from London, Mumbai, and New York as the Dow Jones nears an all time high.
HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
A crazy new poster has been released for Tim Burton's new film FRANKENWEENIE which hits theatres this October, in which the story will
revolve around young Victor Frankenstein, who conducts an experiment to bring his beloved dog back from the dead. Meanwhile, as "Variety" reports, Antonio Banderas has taken the lead role in 33 DAYS, where he will play Pablo Picasso during his emotional turmoil as he worked on his masterpiece Guernica, the mural which captured his reaction to the destruction of Basque town of Guernica in 1937 by the Nazi Luftwaffe during the Spanish Civil War. The film shows how the painting proved near salvation for Picasso at a moment of personal crisis and focuses on Picasso's relationship with his lover, French artist Dora Maar.

The only trailer I have for you today is for the film which was written by young GLEE star Chris Colfer (at only 21 he's already won a Golden
Globe, been nominated for Emmy, wrote a film and a sitcom, and also a book) who is also playing the lead role in STRUCK BY LIGHTNING, a film in which the story revolves around a young man who, after being struck and killed by lightning, recounts the way he blackmailed his fellow classmates into contributing to his literary magazine and helping him achieve his dreams of literary stardom. Beside the popular GLEE star, the cast of the film also includes some other well known names from gorgeous Christina Hendricks from MAD MEN to Dermot Mulroney, hilarious Rebel Wilson and Angela Kinsey. Check out the trailer bellow.

  1. FRANKENWEENIE looks awesome, but you know me, I'm a sucker for animations.

I'm undecided about STRUCK BY LIGHTNING.

    1. it should be a fun cartoon, although I'm a bit worried about Tim going overly morbid with those animated flicks of his. Why is he so obsessed with death?

  2. On Colfer...once you get fame for any reason then all the other doors open. Fame is how you get agents and book deals and all that other stuff.

On Orlando Bloom...don't really care that he has done nothing of note. The man looks good. He can stare in the mirror and say, "Damn I'm sexy". That's more happiness than a billion bucks can buy other people.

And Tim Burton has gotten rather synonymous with Halloween, don't you think?

    1. 'tis true, but he did write all those things himself, and not many people of his early age can accomplish that.
Tim and Halloween are the same thing :)

  3. I really liked the clip for Struck By Lightening. But twenty-one year olds who have accomplished so much are really annoying to those of us who are twice their age and still haven't done anything. :PP

  4. Burton and Halloween are one in the same, all his movies are pretty much the exact same thing, some screwed up world and Johny Depp. Getting sick of him actually.

Bloom had Pirates of the Caribbean too, of course only the first one was good, rest were trash.

    2. The first one I could stay awake, the other three I'm with you, a nap ensued.

    3. I'm not even sure if there were three, four of five others :)

  5. Personally, I never saw what all the fuss was about Orlando Bloom.

  6. I loved hearing about your favorite special treats from childhood: bananas and coca cola. I think mine was green grapes...so delicious and so rarely brought home for us to eat:)

    1. I've never actually tasted coca cola till I was in High School, because we were too poor, but bananas were special, I kept dreaming about them, even though they were cheap for most other people :) It's funny that today, when I can buy tones of them, I don't really eat them all that often, although I do love putting them in all possible cakes :)

  8. I'll see anything Tim Burton makes :)

Pirates made you fall asleep?! I LUUURVE all of them. But you know me, I'm a sucker for pirate Johnny.

    1. sadly, but they did make me fall asleep :) Too long, and badly written, and although Johnny is great in the role, it gets boring after half an hour.

  9. Words cannot even begin to describe my love for Chris Colfer. he is just amazingly talented and I for, one, cannot wait to see Struck By Lightning.

Tim Burton's Frankenweenie is going to be genius like Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride.

    1. Although NIGHTMARE was much much better than BRIDE, so I hope the new one will have the quality of the first not of the second one.

  15. I would like to request a sexy picture of Antonio Bandera's please!! The guys got two pics of Aniston, so it's my turn now. Now I don't think I'd really like the movies with Bloom in it, but he's cute and there's rugby, so bugger the plot, I'll see it.

    1. ah, you have no idea how difficult it is finding a proper pic of Antonio. He doesn't do a lot of photo shoots :( There's only his famous pic on the balcony only in his underwear with a huge bulge :) but that one is older than Mellanie Griffit's silicone lips :)

    2. That's so catty Dez, I love it. I never liked her anyway. Big-lipped bimbo, he's too good for her.

    3. they do make the weirdest of couples after Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley :) Have you ever read anything about her life? She had the strangest of lives with her mother Tippie Hedren (I'm not sure I spell it right). Tippie had a huge farm of wild cats, lions, leopards, tigers, even bears.... She wanted to shoot a film with real cats, so she decided to raise them and tame them from their birth. They had a farm with about 50 or so huge cats. Total craziness. Melanie was once attacked by one of them as a kid and her face was half eaten. She had to undergo some serious plastic surgery and her face was never the same. Most of those cats died in some huge flood or something. Crazy people, crazy people. Imagine a mother who would expose her kids to predators?

  17. Odd that you would post a picture of Orland Bloom when I shaved my beard off last night, and paused with that exact stache and goatee. Kept it for three minutes before taking it off. Kind of douchey.

I'm increasingly less a fan of Tim Burton, but FRANKENWEENIE looks good.

    2. Ahah, well they're both gorgeous aren't they? ;-)

    3. there's a whole bunch of almost identical stars in Hollywood who people often mix - Toby Maguire and Jake Gylenhaal, Sturgess and Cooper, Knigthley and Portman, Michelle Williams and Kirsten Dunst, just to name a few
