NEW "PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES" POSTER. CW'S NEW WITCH SHOW "SECRET CIRCLE"

Well, it seems TV stations believe we need more vampires, zombies and other evil creatures presented daily to us, so CW is preparing SECRET CIRCLE, a new TV show about a young woman named Cassie (Brittany Robertson) who discovers that not only is she a witch and part of a top-secret coven, but she's also the key that will unlock a centuries-old battle between good and evil. Young Thomas Dekker will play her love interest, and also a member of that coven.

Check out the new poster for PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES. Coming out this May it will tell the tale of truth, betrayal, youth and demise, Captain Jack Sparrow
(Johnny Depp) crosses paths with a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz), and he’s not sure if it’s love, or if she’s a ruthless con artist who’s using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn’t know who to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past. The film also stars beautiful young creatures Sam Claflin, who replaces Orlando Bloom, and Astrid Berges Frisbey who plays a mermaid.

  8. while i thought it would be just another typical Pirates of the Carribbean sequel, i was so wrong. i assumed it would again, be just another version where Johnny Depp does all the acting, while the other 2 just screamed at everything n get in his way. but now, finally there will be some real action! i am so looking forward to it after viewing its trailer just the other day! :D

  10. I'm thrilled that "Pirates... On Stranger Tides" will have mermaids and zombies. Right up my alley.... Zombies. Although I haven't taken much interest in any of the zombie tv shows out there.

  11. Still a little miffed there's no Orlando in the new Pirates... I'll still see the movie, of course! Sam Claflin? Not familiar with him, but I'll look him up. And no Scott Speedman in the new Underworld movie? :p (oh, heck...I'll still watch that one, too...)

    There does seem to be an interesting trend of supernatural in upcoming new tv shows. Interesting... :)

    mermaids will be a really cool addition to the whole saga, we haven't seen much of those in films so far

    @Donea
    trust me, sister, Clufflin will be a decent replacement for Orly Bloom, he is a really super cute and talented young new actor. And, yes, no Speedman in UNDERWORLD :(((

    @A
    he he that was exactly my reaction to PIRATES as well :)) And GOOD CHRISTIAN BITCHES won't a sitcom but a regular show like HOUSEWIVES, but they will have elements of comedy too :) Hope to see you here often, A ;)

    @Vics
    she is? Gotta trust you on that since I haven't seen her in anything so far, but she certainly does look talented :))))))

  20. Love the new poster. Maybe pirates will ease this overdone-paranormal phase of vamps and werewolves.

  21. I had no desire to see Secret Circle before, but now that i know Decker is in it i may give it a chance. I'm a big Decker fan :)

  22. I'm excited about Good Christian Bitches, that title says it all. No Scott Speedman. :(((

    I don't mind more vamps, werewolves and other creatures of the night so long as they stop making it all about high school. I want men and women, not boys and girls.

  23. I know that vampires and the like are popular for young ones but I'm a fan of shows based in reality. Although, I have been known to watch a Pirates of a the Caribbean or two.

  24. @Diana
    thanks, Diana ;) I shall check out your post!

    @Avalon
    maybe, but I'm not sure since PIRATES also have their share of monsters :)

    @Julian
    you are? :) That's nice to hear, he seems like a very nice actor.

  25. @Melsy
    that title is uber-cool :))
    No Speedman :(
    You know, there's a truth in what you're saying, I also feel it's not the vampires and monsters that bother me so much as much as the high school setting does!

    @Clarissa
    I love fantasy, but not vampires and such creatures :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. I love Jack Sparrow. But replacing Orlando Bloom? Gasp. I'm heartbroken.

    Will the vampires and crap ever end? Maybe somebody could think up something new? Maybe.

  27. Looking for to the Pirates. :)
    Sorry but both TV shows sound tasteless to me. :(

  28. @MPax
    I have a strange notion that mutants will be the next "in" thing after vampires and zombies :)

    @Mary
    but, Mary, they can't be tasteless if they're telling a certain truth - that there's a lot of evil and hypocrisy hiding in church societies and in the second case - that different cultural backgrounds often create funny and crazy situations in our lives :)
