WILL TERESA PALMER BE TALIA AL GHUL IN "THE DARK KNIGHT RISES"? ABC MAKING A CIVIL WAR TV SERIES.SUPER EXCITING TRAILER FOR TIME TRAVELLING FILM "SOURCE CODE"

Ultra gorgeous Australian actress Teresa Palmer was set to play the role of Talia al Ghul (the mother of Batman's son, Damien, and the daughter of his archenemy, Ra's al Ghul) in JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA movie which is on indefinite hold now, but new rumors state that since there will be a female villain in THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, it could be Talia and Teresa could get the role which was meant for her. Speaking to "MovieWeb", Teresa admitted that she did let the producers know that she's interested, but that they are probably searching for a more popular actress. If she gets the role she said she would do it with a Russian accent :)) Mmm, super sexy!

Remember the hugely popular NORTH AND SOUTH TV series? Well, it seems ABC is planning a new TV series set in the similar period - the Civil War.
According to "Variety", Carlton Cuse, the producer of LOST, and Randall Wallace (SECRETARIAT) will make a pilot for this "event" series which will take place in Virginia during the CIVIL WAR. So, lots of drama, action, battles, and stunning costumes.

And here's a poster for the film which will cheer up spring 2011 for us. HOP is the upcoming film about "the world's worst houseguest" in which Russell Brand plays an Easter Bunny who is accidentally hit by the car of an unemployed slacker played by dashing James Marsden (X-MEN, 27 DRESSES)  who is then forced to take the holiday creature in until he recovers. Coming from the creators of DESPICABLE ME, HOP will also star Hugh Laurie :)

You can also check out the first trailer for SOURCE CODE, the new sf action flick  in which Jake Gyllenhaal wakes up in the body of an unknown man and discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. In an assignment unlike any he's ever known, he learns he's part of a government experiment called the SOURCE CODE, a program that enables him to cross over into another man's identity in the last 8 minutes of his life. With a second, much larger target threatening to kill millions in downtown Chicago, he re-lives the incident over and over again, gathering clues each time, until he can solve the mystery of who is behind the bombs and prevent the next attack. Premiering next April, the film also stars Michelle Monaghan and Vera Farmiga.

  5. There are sooo many rumors about who'll be Batman 3 it's hard to keep up. I'll just wait until it's finally decided. I've never heard of Teresa before but she sure is pretty.

    Meh, no love for Gyllenhaal for me (though I like his sister), I haven't been interested in seeing anything he's in since October Sky. But I do love James Marsden! Great photo of him there, Dez, thanks for brightening up my Monday :)

    When you mentioned North and South, I thought of another movie. Well, that's okay. It's great to hear the daily movie news. I'm usually first in my family to know the latest because of you! I feel special...oh, so special!

  7. The Dark Knight Rises sounds amazing with or without Teresa. And I love Jake G, but he will always be Donnie Darko to me!

  8. Yeah, SourceCode! One of my favorite genres, time travel, done ala Quantum Leap, one of my favorite TV shows. This looks intense. I'm especially interested since my NaNo novel is about time travel and takes place in Chicago.

  11. North and South is one of my favorite films because it is one of the FEW Civil War films that was based on true history. Believe or not, but that long ago war is still hotly debated in some parts of this country as the real reason for the conflict has been brain-washed and embellished, sadly much of the truth has been covered up. Wrong or right, history should not be swept under the rug.
    Looking forward to Point of Honor (I think this is the current title), I hope this movie will be based on actual events and the attitude of the era and not some mind-enticing point of view. And....lol.....I hope they use real southern accents. Phony accents ruin the era's mood:)

  12. Would be really cool to see Talia Al Ghul in The Dark Knight Rises. And I think Teresa Palmer would be the perfect fit for that. Now if only we could get some concrete evidence about the Dark Knight Rises. Sigh.

    I kinda knew you like Marsden :)He's one of those quiet guys who are handsome and strangely charismatic. He also seems like a very kind and nice person. I wish he would get more great roles and not just these silly ones.

    @Masy
    oh, glad you think it's WOW, Masy :)

    @Clarissa
    ah, I'm glad HOLLYWOOD SPY is making you special in the eyes of the family :PP

    ah, who doesn't love him? :)

    @Stephen
    I'm sure the family will enjoy TANGLED!

    @Avalon
    I don't know much about the Civil War, but I'm sure half of the things written in history books are just propaganda and fabrications as in all other wars, especially the ones lead by USA.
    Hope you will enjoy the new series if it really happens in the end.

    Teresa is very special, and deserves a big chance in Hollywood. But I'm generally biased towards Australian celebs :)

    @Michael
    I'm not sure who is more annoying, Russell or his wify Katie Perry

    @Mary
    glad you like the Code ;)

    @Shells
    I'd like to see you with some golden locks, Shells :) You should the photo to your hairdresser, I'm sure she could make you a hairdo like Teresa's :)

  19. I love your description of Marsden... quiet guys who are handsome and strangely charismatic... YES, YES! He just seems like a down to earth fellow, and I definitely agree he should get better roles. Why can't he get Jake Gyllenhaal's career instead? :(

    ReplyDelete
  20. yes, he always had some unusual intelligence and tenderness in his appearance. He had a few dramatic roles, but wasn't overly noticed. And I'm angry as hell that his Cyclops won't be in the new X-MEN film :(
    He might use a good TV role as well, to have a lead role in some huge TV show or to just get some great film role.
    And,oh, Flixy, don't forget to drop by tomorrow I have a super exciting SUPERMAN update :))) Super super exciting!

  21. Source Code looks mighty fine. I like the premise. And Hop of course looks like fun. :)

  22. It won't happen but I'd love to see Eva Green as Catwoman. Kate Beckinsale would be my second choice. I'll be disappointed if they end the Batman trilogy with Talia Al Ghul, might bring the series full circle but you have to end it with a bigger well known villain.

    Hop Hop always is fun ;)

    @Answer
    CATWOMAN should be made as a separate movie, since the previous abomination of the film with equally abominable role from Halle Berry doesn't even count as a film :)

    I think Source Code looks intriguing.
