SMURFILICIOUS FIRST TRAILER FOR THE "SMURFS"

Holy Smurf, the first teaser for the "The Smurfs" movie is finally here and those little blue cuties are ready to charm you away. The teaser doesn't really reveal much, it's here just to tease you off course, since the shooting of the movie is still on. Starring Neil Patrick Harris, Hank Azaria, Anton Yelchin, Alan Cumming and Katy Perry, "The Smurfs" will see those tiny blue Smurfs chased out of their village by the evil wizard Gargamel, after which they will tumble from their magical world and into ours, right into the middle of Central Park. Just three apples high and stuck in the Big Apple, the Smurfs must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down. Now I would prefer if they did the movie set in their Smurf village without including the urban surroundings, but I guess nobody asked me what I think :)

  1. I agree. I'm not too sure what I think about this movie being set in "the real world." I'd definitely see it otherwise, but this gives me reason to pause...

The CGI or what have you looks good, though!

Yeah, I also think it's strange to be set in the real world... And sheeesh another 3D movie?!
But I'm sure I'll see it at some point on DVD with my kids. You can smurf on it!

  6. I grew up with the Smurfs and totally loved them! I've always thought this was one of the most creative, original and entertaining cartoons ever made.

Now I'll reveal to you all one of my deepest secrets... when I was a kid, I was so into smurfs, that I wanted to marry Smurfette, when I grow up :):) I found her very sweet and attractive! Ha-ha! :)

I have to say I'm truly disappointed that the movie will be set in real world... they might even lose certain amount of money and audience, because of that.

  7. Ohh the Smurfs, I had a colored-wood Smurfette in my bedroom's wall when I was 5 or so! :D

This seems like a preview, maybe when the trailer comes out..it might look more interesting.

yes, Smurfs were rather popular here at the Balkans. Everybody loved Smurfette, and I'm kinda scared Katy Perry will make her goofy instead of sexy. My favourite was Azrael, Gargamel's cat :)

it is just a teaser, there's more than a year till the premiere.
