"JACK THE GIANT KILLER" AND "PLANET OF THE APES: CAESAR" START FILMING IN JULY

As "MovieWeb" reports two big movie projects are officially starting production this July. Bryan Singer will start directing his action fantasy "Jack the Giant Killer", in London and Iceland. As you know Singer opted to direct this movie instead of "X-Men: First Class". It is a modern day fairy tale in which the long- standing peace between men and giants is threatened, as a young farmer leads an expedition into the giants' kingdom in hopes of rescuing a kidnapped princess.
Another big movie which will start filming in the middle of July is the prequel "Planet of the Apes: Caesar" helmed by Rupert Wyatt. The film will probably talk about the genetic experiments on apes that led to their evolutionary eclipse of humans. Caesar will be the genetically altered leader of the simian rebellion, so dubbed because the ape was capable of grand strategic thinking on par with Julius Caesar.
Both movies are set to be released in 2011, and both have to start casting before July.

  1. And both will be released in 3D :)
I think the Jack the Giant Killer project is really interesting. However, there are still talks that Singer will go back to the X-Men franchise once "Jack" is complete, but it's being reported that will depend on how long Fox is willing to wait for Singer to actually complete it.

  2. eh, Jaccsy, I figure that if you and I made a movie about our lives, Hollywood bosses would follow the trend and make it 3D as well:)))
