PETER SARSGAARD AS VILLAIN IN "GREEN LANTERN"?

As we mentioned last week, the casting for Ryan Reynolds' "Green Lantern" is continuing, and according to "MovieWeb" charming Peter Sarsgaard is in negotiations to join the cast as Dr. Hector Hammond, a pathologist who receives psychic abilities after he discovers a meteorite.
If this comes true Peter Sarsgaard will join the cast along Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan and Blake Lively, who will play Carol Ferris as we reported last week. Directed by Martin Campbell, "Green Lantern" is set to premiere in June next year. Peter Sarsgaard is best known for his roles in "Orphan", "Shattered Glass" and "Kinsey" and many people know him as the husband of Maggie Gyllenhaal.

  1. I like Peter. He has proven to be a capable villian in many past movies.

  2. I'm not familiar with this actor, or that character he's gonna play in Green Lantern.
But I'm very familiar with alien Sinestro who's wielding yellow light on your poster Dezz. Peter Sarsgaard in not supposed to play him. Sinestro will probably be in this movie, but has yet to be cast. :)

  3. The bad-comic-expert in me thought Sinestro was an evil alter-ego to Dr. Hammond :) They definitely look alike. I shall replace the pic immediately :)

  6. Sarsgaard is a very versatile actor. Comparing his polished turn in "An Education" to his gritty, evil performance in "Boys Don't Cry" makes it evident.
