MALEFICENT AS TIM BURTON'S NEW DIVA?

While he is currently putting the final touches on his upcoming twisted version of "Alice in Wonderland" which will hit theaters on March 5th, it seems Tim Burton has already found his next film. "Ain't It Cool News" reports that Burton could be directing a tale about that charming "Sleeping Beauty" villain Maleficent. The movie will be called "Maleficent" because Tim is going to tell the classic story from her point of view. Ugh, so what else is (not) new in Tinseltown??? Although we all like his visual style, it seems Burton might get stuck in his unique vision and people might start suspecting that he can't make a film without Johnnie Depp or his wify Helena Bonham Carter since "Maleficent" seems to be a vehicle for another of their cooperations.

  3. Dark Shadows would be a great movie for Burton. I'd rather see him do it than anyone else.

  11. Oh, I see miss Maleficent is widely popular :)
Yep, she does look a lot like the evil stepmom from Snowhite, I guess Disney wasn't really original when creating the visual look of those two ladies.
